American Idol Season 1 to 7 Winning Performances

There is a buzz going on in America about the recently concluded American Idol Rocker winner David Cook. He is so famous nowadays that critics are saying that he will surpass the achievements of other Idol Winners. Simon Cowell once said in an interview in Ellen De Generes show that Season 5 and 6 winners, Taylor Hicks and Jordin Sparks won because of popularity contest. He added that if David Cook will win, this will be the year that America will finally put the right winner in the winner’s circle. American Idol’s rating plummeted during the last two seasons (season 5 and 6) primarily because the show failed to crown the right winners. As we can all remember, Cowell is rooting for Chris Daughtry to win on Idol 5 but was eliminated during the top 4. But Daughtry returned with a vengeance by making a landslide record sale that not even Taylor Hick’s album reached. This just goes to show that in the past years, viewers lost interest on AI because of the unlikely winners. So this time, I compiled the videos of all of the winning moments of the American Idol from Season 1 to 7 (including that of Cook) for you to judge if the winners are worthy to be called American Idol. Now I know why David Archuleta’s dad suggested that little David choose to perform second during the final performance after winning the coin toss. Most of the winners in the past actually performed second during their final performances.
