Malen’s foodtrip in Davao
By bluepanjeet on May 14, 2008 in *Ideas Meets Improvements

Malen sent me a postcard and a letter from their vacation in Davao and she has this to say:
Dear Bluepanjeet
We are so much having fun in Davao with Reynz, Ambo and Mommy Beng. We regret that you did not come because of your tight schedule, but I absolutely adore you for that since you always tease and make fun of me. Well I just wrote a brief letter for you because I want to gloat. As in, I want to make you jealous of what you missed in this vacation of a lifetime. Well for starters, we went to pearl farm resort, climbed Mt. Apo, went scuba diving and ate as many durian as we can swallow. Talking about food, we went to Davao market and bought so many fresh fishes and seafoods. I cooked lunch and dinner. Please do not ask me how I did it since you do not know my cooking prowess.
I have been reading the DayRecipe blog of Danky and learned so much from it. Danky?s blog features daily recipes that will really blow your mind off. Their delicious, easy to follow, and very detailed recipe is so wonderful for beginners like me. One of the few things that I learned from DayRecipe blog is how to cook seafoods right. I cooked Horseradish-Crusted Salmon with Beets Recipe, Tuna over Salad, Broiled Shrimp with Mustard and Tarragon Recipe, Shrimp Spring Rolls With Hoisin Dipping Sauce, Red Lobster?s Rock Shrimp Creole, Tuscan Tuna and Beans Recipe, Rosemary Shrimp Penne With Butternut Squash Sauce, Philly Cheese Sandwich, and Sizzling Catfish with Black Bean-Soy Sauce Recipe.
Reynz, Mommy Beng and Ambo love my recipes. Thanks to DayRecipe, we did not only had fun at the beach but we we also had a hearty meal, all because of me, myself and I. I am so sorry you have not tasted my dishes, but I promise that after we get back, I will send you some leftovers intended for our dog. Try DayRecipe, you?ll drool over the recipes there. Tata?
So thankful,
Malen
So compelled to answer back, I sent a telegram to Malen
Dear Malen
I am so glad you are having fun. I wish I could taste your dishes but I am so lucky that I didn?t because now I?m 30 lbs lighter and you are still growing and growing by the girth everyday. Ha-ha. Send Ambo, Reynz and Mommy Beng my Regards..
And Oh please be careful in wearing those pants of yours, you don?t want the buttons and zippers to pop up like a cork in a bottle of champagne
Tata?
With all the love in the world,
Bluepanjeet
Then I received a text message coming from Malen?
Message: AYUF!
