The importance of user-friendly site design

Mix of Eto Ang Sayo blog called me up on the phone the other day asking me where he can find an online shop on the net that is not just user-friendly but also an easily navigable website that has all these features in just a click of the mouse. I said I know an online store that perfectly fits your description. They have just renovated their website not just to look good but also to appeal to online consumers who are tired of clicking so many links before arriving on a targeted destination. Plus the fact that some online shops are so difficult to load that you wait for eternity before they show the product you are purchasing.
Introducing, Light in the Box has upgraded their site design for better online navigation, interaction and user-friendly interface. Some of the features of the New Version of Lightinthebox.com

A flash generated slideshow of their featured products for easy access and preview including the products appearance.
On the sidebar is a list of their top selling products that gives you suggestion on what is hot and what is not.
A buyer’s guide link to aid first time online shoppers on the FAQ of the site, discounts, shipping and delivery of items and many more.
A vertical scrolling marquee of the latest orders that was bought to help the consumers become aware of the existence of such products.
A tag cloud of some sort of the top searched key words on the site and a email subscription field for those who wants to be updated on the site’s development and catalog.
On the middle content of the home page are three navigable semi pages. The first navigation is Best Deal Menu which features products that offers the very best deal in town.
The second Menu features products that are free-to-ship with no charge on delivery.
The third Menu which is the New arrival which shows products that recently arrived
At the bottom part of the home page are the featured products on sale.
On the main navigation bar is a page called Wholesale wherein most of the products that the site sell for wholesale only are shown
Below every sub page is this recommendation banners that recommends products to users.
The site also has a wholesale directory page where all of the products are listed alphabetically by categories.
On a specific product click which show you a detailed description, specification, preview and price of the product.
It is very important for online shoppers to look for cyber stores that are user-friendly, navigable and with appealing user interface.
