There is a new blog platform out on the net. It’s called Thoughts.Com. This innovation is not just your ordinary blogspot, Wordpress or type pad CMS. Thoughts.com is actually a social networking site and a blog platform rolled into one. It is free to sign-up with Thoughts.com as long as your age is 14 above. And if ever you sign up, your name goes with the domain. For example if the name I will use to sign-up with is bluepanjeet then the domain on my blog will be www.thoughts.com/bluepanjeet. Some features of the new Thoughts.com are promising and is considered as an innovation in the blog world:

  • You can add a person as your friend. Just like in a typical social networking site.
  • Your profile can be viewed by the public or have an option to set it on private.
  • When you create a post sometimes, you feel you want to have your own privacy so there is an option there to set the whole post as private
  • You can upload any kind of media files including photos, videos and podcast of your choice.
  • There is also a forum available for thoughts.com users
  • Atom feeds are also available for feed subscription in your very own blog
  • Readers can give feedback on your post
  • Fellow thoughts.com users can rate your post that will somehow help increase popularity of your blog.
